BALTHAZAR ANNOUNCE TOUR AND NEW VIDEO “CHANGES”

Balthazar 2019

Balthazar are pleased to announce details of further touring in support of their acclaimed Fever album release with dates across France and Germany November/December this year.

Revolving around the axis of frontmen and writing partners Jinte Deprez and Maarten Devoldere, the band reconvened last year following a break that saw both release solo albums that ultimately played an integral role in the creative process for the release of Fever earlier this year.

Fever, the band’s fourth album also brings us the new single (and one of its standout tracks) Changes. Along with news of the live dates is a new video, shot using footage from across the Fever tour earlier this year, Changes with it’s infectious ‘on and on and on’ chorus refrain sung with Maarten’s distinct lead vocal is classic Fever-era Balthazar. As Maarten explains; “I was hungover and complaining about it.” Adding that his bandmate Jinte had said something along the lines of “Stop talking about changing if deep down you know you don’t want to.” And consequently “we then wrote this song to celebrate the flaws in our machinery. A celebration that was followed by yet another sweet hangover.”

Released through Play It Again Sam earlier this year, Fever once again saw the band hit the number one spot in their native Belgium bettering the number two of its predecessor Thin Walls in 2015 and accruing yet more plaudits across Europe with one correspondent moved to comment; “Balthazar have been a good rock band for a while, but with Fever it’s shown that it can become a great one.”

The following dates highlighted ** are in addition to previously announced summer / Autumn dates.
