Miro Lánik is a member of the Film Journalists’ Club. In the past he wrote for several periodicals (Pravda, SME, Nový Čas, Kankán, Hugo, Týždeň). He is also known as the organizer of various entertainment events.
In the 90s, Miro presented a routine program on the Slovak Radio in Banská Bystrica. He has been the organizer and program director of several film and music festivals – Barbican, Eastsider, New Jazz Days, NouveauNu.
In 2008, he organized a “Slovak film festival” in Damascus (Syria) and an Arab film festival in Bratislava called “Far Near East”.
In addition, he and his brother Michal run the Vresk agency, thanks to which we were able to see several foreign stars in Slovakia such as Fun Lovin Criminals, Apocalyptica, Jamie Cullum, Limp Bizkit, Fink, Iron Maiden, Kings of Convenience, Primal Scream and others.
Right now, in addition to raising his young son, he’s involved in the import of Naked Wines, gastronomy and agencies.
Miro believes that pandemic restrictions will be slightly relaxed this summer, so he’s preparing with the help of his colleagues for the Barbakan Festival, a festival of natural wines Naked Wines– 3.7. in Banská Štiavnica and the Pulitzer cup– journalists tennis tournament at the end of June in Banská Bystrica. He also helps organize the Austrian Meinklang Festival.
For the second time now, he mixed the music cocktail of his current favorite songs for the music set of New Model Rádio.
